James Dunbar is listed as working in Perth from 1820. Perth is in Scotland located 30 miles North of Edinburgh. The clock has an eight-day movement that strikes the hour on a bell. This mahogany case is well-proportioned and finely veneered with an attractive maypole inlay. The dial is in excellent condition and is original to the clock. It shows both seconds and date. In the arch can be seen a country scene showing a shepherd girl with a sheep. In the dial corners are painted attractive small yellow and pink flowers. Minute and hour hands are matching engraved brass.
