Parliament style time and strike clock.
Reference #552.
Shown here is an unique clock. The British act of parliament passed in 1797 placed a tax on all clock. At that time many clockmakers went out of business and the general public increasingly used public clocks for timekeeping. This style of clocks could bee seen in public houses and adopted the name "act of parliament clocks".
This is an interesting replica of the parliament clock. It features time and strike. It strikes the hour and half past on a pleasant sounding gong.
