English flame mahogany moon dial grandfather clock by William Wakefield of Lancaster C1810. Reference #570.

The well proportioned flame mahogany case has a swan neck hood and fleuted colombes with Corinthian caps, it has OG feet and a door lock.

The clock has an original four pillar 8 days movement striking the hour on an English bell. The dial painting is original and of the highest quality, it features strawberries and delicate flowers in the corners. The original steel hands are in good condition. The rolling moon features a well painted ship and cottage.

William Walkfield had a shop in Marker Street Lancaster c1810.
